As designers, we hate internet banking. So we decided to do something about it.
Let’s elaborate…
All traditional banks are similar. Modern technology has taken banking to a whole new level. Ease of use, speed of transactions, enjoyment & convenience are rewriting the history of the user experience in banking.
While many banks still struggle to digitize their products, new Neo-banks have rapidly emerged, changing the rules of the game. One of the biggest challenges is how to create and develop a net-banking interface that’s actually useful, fast for users and convenient.
So we decided to take up this challenge and redesign net-banking as we know it, in just 2 weeks.
HERE IS A VISUAL REPRESENTATION OF DESIGN ISSUES THAT CAN BE ADDRESSED.

Why modern neo-banks have overtaken them?
Understanding the competition is essential in understanding why the platform fails.
Modern Neo-banks apps and UPI apps has spoilt us with…
- Lightning quick payments and transfers
- Easy accessibility to transaction history with options to search & filters
- Catchy gamified interfaces
- Lack of clutter
- No confusing menus to spend time on
Reduce clutter
Focus on user interactions
Mobile optimisation
We did some research
Our target audience were
- Users who are well versed in UPI platforms but find it difficult to navigate net-banking platforms
- We interviewed 35 participants in the survey, age group of 30 & above. Out of which 72% were men & 28% were women.
